The Gaylord Blue Devil Wellness Center is a school-based health center located in Gaylord High School. The center is grant-funded and operated by the Health Department of Northwest Michigan. They provide both physical and mental health services for those ages 10-21 (and their children).
Clients can obtain well child exams (physicals), immunizations, and visits for illnesses and injuries provided by a Nurse Practitioner or counseling services for mental health concerns by a Mental Health Professional.
All services are provided at no out-of-pocket cost. If the client has health insurance, the insurance will be billed for the services provided. Co-pays are waived. They accept most private insurances and all forms of Medicaid. If the client does not have insurance, services are still provided at no cost and staff can assist uninsured families or individuals with obtaining health insurance.
