Universal Free Meals
Gaylord Community Schools provides well-balanced, nutritious and healthy meals each day for students. GCS students ability to learn is affected by the nutritious meals they eat. Due to new State of Michigan legislation, GCS students will receive a free qualified breakfast and a free qualifed lunch each school day for the 2023-24 school year.
Even though meals will be provided for free, it is extremely important for families to complete the Education Benefits Online application in order for Gaylord Community Schools to receive full access to federal and state funding for education programs that support our students.
Please complete the Education Benefits Online application or return the printable version to the Board of Education Office located at 615 South Elm Avenue, Gaylord, Michigan 49735.
