- A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience (7-12).
- A Master’s degree from an accredited institution with course work emphasis in administration, supervision and/or curriculum.
- A minimum of two (2) years of 7-12 leadership/supervision experience.
- Eligibility for administrative certification.

| Performance Responsibilties (Include but not limited to): |
- Establish and maintain a safe, orderly and effective learning climate in the school.
- Initiate, design, implement and evaluate programs to meet specific needs of the school.
- Ensure quality instruction is taking place in all classrooms.
- Evaluate performance and effectiveness of staff members.
- Maintain relations with parents, parent groups, school volunteers and outside agencies.
- Participate in and/or facilitate district-wide activities, in-services and committees, as appropriate.
- Implement policy and procedure changes from the Board, or State and Federal level at the building level.
- Assist in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum.
- Establish guidelines for proper student conduct and maintenance of student discipline.
- Assume the responsibility for the implementation and observance of Board of Education policies and regulations.
- Prepare and submit the school’s budgetary requests and monitor expenditures of funds.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation of reports, records and other paperwork required or appropriate to the school’s administration.
- Prepare annual report to the community according to the requirements of Public Act 25 and No Child Left Behind.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

| Qualifications: |
Must meet Department of Human Services qualifications for Lead Caregiver (For example: Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development or a child-related field OR Child Development Associate Credential with 480 hours of experience OR h igh school diploma/GED with 12 semester hours and 960 hours of experience in a child related filed. Note: The assistant has two years from the date of hire to complete the appropriate training requirements.) Must also have CPR/First Aid certification and DHS clearance prior to working with children. |
